Help & documentation

Everything you need to go from a keyword to a published, on-brand article — how the pipeline works, what each setting does, and answers to the questions we hear most.

Getting started

The fastest path from nothing to a published article.

The content pipeline

Every document moves through five stages, shown as a colored status pill wherever you see it in the app.

Research

Every article starts here. We analyze the live SERP for your keyword — who's ranking, what entities they cover, and where the content gaps are — before anything gets written.

Outline

A section-by-section outline is generated from that research: headers, search intent per section, and target entities. Add, reorder, or rewrite sections before approving it.

Writing

The full article is generated from your approved outline, tuned to the brand kit, tone, internal links, and special instructions attached to the document.

Ready

Edit the finished draft in the rich-text editor, adjust the title/meta/slug, export to Word, or share a public read-only link for sign-off.

Published

Push the finished article straight to a connected WordPress or Shopify site — title, body, slug, and meta description are all mapped automatically.

A document that’s actively generating shows a live “Researching…” or “Writing…” status with a spinner instead of a static stage — no need to refresh, it updates on its own.

Deep research vs Speed run

Every new article picks one of two workflows.

Deep research

Research and the outline generate first, then the workspace pauses so you can review and edit the outline before writing the full article. Best for pillar pages and anything where structure matters.

Speed run

Research, outline, and the full article generate back to back with no pause for review. Best for volume — pairs well with bulk import.

Brand Kits

Reusable settings so every article for a brand stays consistent.

Name & website. Used to ground the writing in who the brand is and what it does.

Tone / vertical. One of 17 tone verticals (e.g. Finance, Healthcare, B2B/Tech) that shapes voice and terminology.

Internal links. Up to 20 URLs the article can naturally link to.

Special instructions. Free-text guardrails — things to always include, avoid, or emphasize.

Manage Brand Kits →

Bulk CSV import

Queue a whole content calendar at once instead of creating articles one at a time.

  1. 1. Download the template from the Bulk import button on the Content page — columns are Keyword, Target Title, Brand Kit, Country, Tone.
  2. 2. Fill it in— Brand Kit should match an existing kit’s name exactly, or leave it blank for a manual entry.
  3. 3. Upload it.Rows are created immediately, then research runs one keyword at a time in the background — spaced out on purpose so a large batch doesn’t overload generation.

Output language for individual articles (English, Spanish, French, German, or Hindi) is set per-article in the New Article wizard, not in the bulk template.

Publishing & export

Get a finished article out of the tool and onto your site.

WordPress & Shopify

Connect once from Integrations. After that, the Publish button on a Ready article sends the title, body, slug, and meta description directly to your site.

Word (.docx) export

Export the outline or the article as a clean .docx from any document, or select multiple rows on the Content page to download them all as one .zip.

Public share links

Toggle “Share publicly” on any document to get a read-only link — useful for sending a draft to a client for sign-off without giving them a login.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to generate an article?
Research and outline generation typically takes a couple of minutes; writing the full article can take a few minutes more depending on length. You can close the New Article panel and keep working — generation continues in the background and the document’s status updates live, with a notification when it’s ready.
Can I edit an outline after it's generated?
Yes — add, remove, or reorder sections, and edit headers, guidance, or target keywords, all before writing the article. You can also regenerate the article later from an edited outline.
What happens if generation fails?
The document is marked Failed with a Retry action right in the Content list — nothing is lost, and retrying re-runs research from scratch.
Do I need to connect WordPress or Shopify to use the tool?
No. Publishing is optional — you can export any article to Word or share a public link without connecting anything.
What's the difference between a Brand Kit's tone and the article's tone?
A Brand Kit’s tone is just the default that pre-fills the New Article wizard; you can override the tone per article without changing the Brand Kit itself.
Can I generate content in a language other than English?
Yes — pick Spanish, French, German, or Hindi from the Output language field in the New Article wizard.
