This Privacy Policy explains what personal data SEO Engine collects through https://www.seoengine.in and the SEO Engine application, why we collect it, and how it is used, shared, and protected.

• Account information — name, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and optional profile details such as company name, industry, and timezone.
• Content data — the keywords, brand kit details, outlines, and articles you create or generate through the Service.
• Billing information — your plan and billing history. Card, UPI, and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay; we do not store your full payment credentials.
• Integration data — access tokens for third-party platforms you connect (e.g. WordPress, Shopify), used only to publish content on your behalf.
• Usage & device data — log data, browser/device information, and cookies, collected automatically when you use the Service or visit our website.

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• To generate the content you request from the keywords and inputs you provide.
• To process billing and payments.
• To respond to support requests and grievances.
• To send service-related notifications (e.g. generation complete, billing receipts).
• To comply with legal and tax obligations.

We process personal data to perform our contract with you (these Terms), for our legitimate business interests in operating and improving the Service, and in accordance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the applicable Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to run SEO Engine, each acting on our instructions:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
• Razorpay — payment processing.
• AI model providers (e.g. Google Gemini) — to generate content from the inputs you provide.
• Your connected platforms (WordPress, Shopify) — only when you choose to publish content to them.
• Email/notification providers — to deliver account and service notifications.
• A website chat widget on our marketing pages, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy practices.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

All pages are served over TLS/HTTPS. Access to stored data is restricted using row-level access controls, and passwords are stored hashed. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal data while your account is active. After you close your account, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain records for longer (for example, GST and other tax records).

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, by writing to hello@seoengine.in. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. Our marketing pages also load a third-party chat widget that may set its own cookies. We do not use third-party advertising-tracking cookies.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable contractual and technical steps to keep that data protected in transit and at rest.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or an in-app notice, and the “Effective” date above will be updated.
